Participate as a volunteer and learn skills, techniques and processes from our experts. (Each volunteer shift earns you a token for 1 kilo of firing)

Studio Access Conditions - studio and equipment
Access to the studio is for Members only. Anyone who gives access to the studio to unauthorised persons, will automatically have their membership revoked without a refund.
In order to access the studio, you will need to complete an Induction/Supervised session (see above). Once this is completed you will be sent a link to our members only booking page.
Use of the studio will need to be paid for at
$10 per hour.
The Studio is available for hire 7 days a week, however are not available when in use for classes, workshops and special events.
Up to six (6) people can book the studio at any one time, so you may not have sole access but shared access.
Bookings will be limited to two weeks in advance, so that all members have the chance to book the studio
Use of communal shelves for storage of work in progress.
Access to Mentors - we have some remarkable teachers within the Castlemaine Clay community and we would love you to get to know them and their wisdom regarding all things clay - this is how we learn. There are so many ways to do things and to know about clay, it is endless :)
Cleaning - you must leave the studio in the same or better condition in which you found it, every time.
There are no discounts on classes or firings

WHY JOIN ?
You become part of building our clay lovers’ community based on Dja Dja Wurrung Country in Central Victoria, located within the beautiful grounds of Lot 19 Art Space. We have created an extraordinary ceramics space, and members will have access to the studio by completing at least one induction/supervised session. You can then book via our members only booking system.

Castlemaine Clay recognises that we are all at different stages in our clay journey and have developed the membership with that in mind
Full membership $85 per year from the date you purchase membership
Concession $40 per year from the date you purchase membership
for concession card holders
Note: You will be contacted via email when your membership is up for renewal and can choose to renew once your twelve months is up.

Inductions & Supervised Sessions
Inductions and Supervised Sessions are to acquaint you with the Castlemaine Clay Studio and all of its equipment to ensure the safe use of the space for every member.
At least one session must be completed before you will be given solo studio access.
