CLay taster
This 2-session course gives you a little taste of working with clay, see if pottery is the craft you’ve been looking for. Be warned - pottery is highly addictive.
beginners
hand building
All the pottery skills for making without a wheel - pinch, coil, slab and more. Get the basics and make your own pottery without needing loads of equipment.
wheel
Try your hand on the potters wheel. Our beginner classes are for the complete novice, and those looking to improve on basic skills.
SCULPTURE
Have you always wanted to make a human figure? A dog? A bird? An abstract shape?
In this four week class you'll learn the skills needed to sculpt using both additive and reductive techniques.
intermediate
slip craft
A four-part deep dive into the creative and technical possibilities of slip. Each term builds directly on the previous one—moving from decoration to one piece moulds, to two part moulds and advanced techniques. Enrol in one workshop, or commit to the full series..
glaze craft
A four-term program about colour, surface, and glaze chemistry. Build your glazing knowledge progressively—from using studio glazes and decorative techniques through to making glaze from scratch. Like our Slip Craft series, each workshop can be taken individually, or you can sign up for the whole year and take a deep dive
clay club
Take your projects further with these supported studio sessions. Work with a small group of potters in our light filled studio and Ella will be there to answer questions, offer advice, help you plan and support you to up your pottery game.
Booking terms
We review workshop booking numbers 48 hours before the workshop start date. If we do not have the minimum number of participants, you will be notified and provided with a full refund. Please note refunds may take up to ten days to process through our finance partner.
Workshops are only available to people 18 years and older
Please ensure you are able to attend the designated workshop days and times before booking, as we are not able to offer a refund or reschedule for missed sessions or courses. This is because once we go ahead with a course we commit to paying the instructor for the course series.
If we postpone or cancel due to COVID19 restrictions, you will be able to reschedule missed workshops.
